Suwan Kim

Suwan Kim received his Ph.D. in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Seoul National University in 2024, advised by Prof. Taewhan Kim, with the dissertation Methodologies of Utilizing Design Enablement Resources for High-Quality Physical Design, recognized with the department’s Distinguished Dissertation Award.

Before joining Kyung Hee University, he was a Staff Engineer at the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT), where he developed Bayesian-optimization-based DTCO methodologies for DRAM standard cells and neural-network-driven analog circuit optimization frameworks. He founded AIDA Lab (AI-aided Design Automation Laboratory) in September 2025.
